Create an account

Sign up for Wassenger. Your referral link exists from that moment, under Settings, then Referral. It is the website address with your own code on the end.

Blog, newsletter, YouTube, client emails, social. Anywhere you already reach people who run WhatsApp for work.

They sign up and subscribe

The link has 60 days to turn a click into a new account. Their first paid subscription starts a twelve month commission term.

Withdraw

From 50 EUR to PayPal, or from 5 in your own billing currency as account credit off your next invoice. Requests are processed within 7 business days.

Twelve months, not three

The whole term, month by month.

Open any referral and the twelve months are laid out in order: the date of the invoice each one came from, what it paid, the state it is in, and the date a month still on hold becomes withdrawable. A marker shows how far through the term the referral is.

Ready

Months whose hold has already passed. This is the figure the withdraw button acts on, and the only one you can cash out.

Still accruing

Earned, and released one calendar month after the invoice it came from. An invoice on 1 March unlocks on 1 April. Each month carries its own unlock date.

Still to come

The months left in the term, shown as a ceiling at the current plan price rather than a promise. Each month is priced from its own invoice, so an upgrade or a downgrade moves it.

Getting paid

Two ways to take the money out.

Commission from every referral lands in one balance. When you cash out you pick a method, and that cash-out covers the whole balance available at that moment.

  • PayPal from 50 EUR. Payouts are sent in euros only. A balance held in another currency is converted to euros at the rate Wassenger applies at the moment you request the cash-out.
  • Account credit from 5 in your own billing currency, discounted automatically from your next subscription invoice.
  • One method per cash-out, over the whole available balance. Partial withdrawals and splitting a balance between the two are not possible.
  • Requests are processed within 7 business days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the Wassenger Affiliate Program.

How much do I earn, and what is it a percentage of?
You earn 25% of the amount the referred customer is actually invoiced for their plan each month, not 25% of a list price and not 25% of the invoice total. If the plan line on that invoice comes to 69.90, your commission is 17: the share is rounded down to a whole unit of the currency. Additional chat agents and other add-ons on the same invoice do not earn commission.
How long do the commissions keep coming?
Twelve consecutive months from the start of the referred subscription. The rate and the term are stamped on a referral the day it is created and are never changed afterwards, so a referral made under the earlier programme keeps its own terms of 30% for 3 months.
What's the duration of the referral link tracking?
60 days from the moment your link or code is used. What has to happen inside that window is the sign-up: attribution is written when a brand new account is created through your link, and it can never be added afterwards to an account that already exists. Sign-ups on reseller or white-label accounts are not attributed.
If I refer a customer who signs up immediately but only subscribes months later, do I still get commission?
Attribution is settled at sign-up rather than at payment, so the referral is recorded as yours the day they create the account. From there the program terms give the referee 60 days from account creation to their first payment. Past that window the referral is no longer entitled to commission, so a sign-up that has gone quiet is worth a nudge.
Can I recommend someone who was a customer in the past but cancelled their subscription?
No. Attribution only fires when a brand new account is created through your link, so anyone who already holds a Wassenger account cannot be attributed to you, whatever the state of their old subscription. The program terms also ask you not to refer companies or individuals who have already been paying customers.
If the person or company I refer wants to buy several plans, do I get commissions for all of them?
No. Commission covers one subscription per referred customer, the first one created and paid for on their account. A second number, a second plan or extra chat agents on the same invoice earn nothing, and agent plans are outside the program entirely.
What happens if the referee changes plan during the twelve months?
Each month is priced from that month's own invoice, so an upgrade or a downgrade moves every month that follows it, up or down. Months already recorded keep the amount they were paid at and are never restated. A mid-term change that only produces a prorated line does not create a month of its own.
What happens if one of their invoices is refunded?
That month pays nothing. An invoice that is refunded, voided or written off as uncollectible generates no commission. The rest of the term is unaffected.
When can I withdraw a commission I have earned?
One calendar month after the date of the invoice it came from, not 30 days. An invoice on 1 March unlocks on 1 April, and an invoice on 31 January unlocks on 28 February. Until then the amount sits under "Still accruing" in your dashboard, with its unlock date printed on the month itself.
How long does it take to receive a payout?
Once your available balance reaches 50 EUR you can request a PayPal cash-out, and we process it within 7 business days. Account credit needs only 5 in your own billing currency and comes off your next invoice. We may get in touch if a request looks irregular, and we can reject one that breaches the program terms.
Can I receive my payout in a currency other than Euros?
No. PayPal payouts are sent in euros and there is no currency option. A balance accrued in another currency is converted to euros at the rate Wassenger applies at the moment you request the cash-out, not at the rate on the day the money reaches you. If you would rather stay in your own currency, take the balance as account credit instead: credit is issued in your billing currency.
Can I use my commissions partially in credits and partially in money?
No. Each cash-out uses a single method and takes the whole balance available at that moment. There are no partial withdrawals and no splitting one balance between PayPal and credit. What you can do is alternate: take one balance as credit and the next as cash.
Can I receive an email notification whenever there is a new referee subscription linked to my account?
No. There is no referral notification email. Everything is reported in the dashboard under Settings, then Referral: new referrals, the state of every month, the balance ready to withdraw and the balance still accruing.
If the person I referred changes WhatsApp number, do I still get my commissions?
Usually, yes. The referral is recorded against the subscription they signed up with rather than against the number attached to it, so swapping the number on a subscription they already have does not cost you anything. The one thing that breaks it is a number a different user already registered on Wassenger within the previous 365 days: a referral carrying such a number is rejected automatically.
