What are Agent Skills?
Agent Skills are an open, plain-text format that teaches an AI agent how to do a specific job. Each Wassenger skill packages the knowledge your agent needs to run one part of WhatsApp Business — sending messages, routing chats, launching campaigns — so you can just ask in natural language instead of writing integration code.
Do I need to be a developer?
No. Installing is one command, and after that you drive everything in plain English from your AI agent. You do need an agent that supports the Agent Skills format (like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or Copilot) and a Wassenger API key, but you never have to write code yourself.
Is it really free?
Yes. All 23 skills are open source and MIT-licensed on GitHub — free to install, read, fork and extend. You only pay for your Wassenger plan and Meta's standard WhatsApp Business messaging, exactly as you would without the skills.
Which AI tools work with it?
Any agent that supports the open Agent Skills format — including Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and GitHub Copilot. Because the format is open, more tools are adding support over time, and the same skills work across all of them with no changes.
Do I need a Wassenger account?
Yes. The skills run on the official Wassenger API, so you need a Wassenger account with a connected WhatsApp number and an API key. You can create an account and get your key in a few minutes, then paste the key into your agent.
